Nancy Robinson Demonbreun, of Smyrna, TN went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 11, 2016. A native of Nashville, TN, she was preceded in death by her husband, Al Demonbreun; son, Chip Demonbreun; parents, James and Peggy Cooke Robinson; and father-in-law, Louis Alton Demonbreun Sr.
Funeral services will be Friday, January 15, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Highland Heights Church of Christ. Brother Wayne Cornwell and Daryl Demonbreun will officiate. A graveside service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery.
Nancy is survived by her two sons, Jamie Demonbreun of Smyrna, GA and Scott Demonbreun of Smyrna, TN; two grandchildren, Kelton and Jade Demonbreun; two sisters, Beth Robinson of Nashville, TN and Susan Hughes and her husband Mark of Bowling Green, KY; mother-in-law, Helen Demonbreun of Nashville; sisters-in-law, Lee Ann Hollingsworth and her husband, Tom of Nashville and Lydia Grisham of Pegram, TN; and brother-in-law, David Grisham of Pegram, TN; several nieces and nephews; and her lovable best canine friend, Titus.
Mrs. Nancy was a member of Highland Heights Church of Christ. She was a 1967 graduate of Hillsboro High School and a 1971 graduate of Western Kentucky University. She was employed for many years with the State of Tennessee, first with TEIS, and then transitioned to the Division of Consumer Affairs where she retired in 2015. She was a loving mother, sister, and grandmother. She was a smiling, funny, and eternally optimistic person.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in memory of Mrs. Demonbreun can be made to the Vanderbilt Ingram Cancer Center.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 14, 2016, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Woodfin Chapel in Smyrna.
