NAJAD "JACK" SAGMAN, age 81, of Murfreesboro, died May 7, 2013. He was a native of Baghdad, Iraq, and son of the late Joseph and Takouhi Sagman and was also preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers. A funeral mass will be held Friday at 11:00 AM at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church with Father Mark Sappenfield officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Mr. Sagman is survived by his wife, Mary Sagman; sons, Patrick (Besma) Sagman, Dallas, TX and Eric (Lisa) Sagman, Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Orrin, Andrea, Ethan, and Isabella Sagman; and several nieces and nephews . Mr. Sagman was a banker for 38 years until he retired as General Manager of the only bank in Iraq in 1988. He moved his family to the United States in 1982 and was able to join them in 1989. He was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church and an enthusiastic member of the St. Rose Bocce Club. Visitation will be from 4:00 until 8:00 PM Thursday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.
