Myron Douglas "Skipper" Bounds, age 70, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 3, 2015. A native of Murfreesboro, TN, he was the son of the late Myron Caufman Bounds & Opal Olene Bounds. He is also preceded in death by his daughter Rachael Yarbrough-Jerving.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Cathy Bounds. Mr. & Mrs. Bounds were blessed with 5 children, daughter Jenifer Scharsch and her husband Jason Scharsch of Murfreesboro, Rachael Yarbrough-Jerving whom has gone home to be with the Lord, 3 sons, Ricky Bounds of Lascassas, Tracy Yarbrough of Murfreesboro and Wade Bounds of Coushatta Louisiana, and his beloved grandchildren Cody Yarbrough of Murfreesboro, Haley Yarbrough of Murfreesboro, Faith Mansfield of Murfreesboro, Jackson Scharsch of Murfreesboro, Austin Bounds of Lascassas, Dalton Yarbrough of Murfreesboro, Alan Bounds and Brooke Mckissak of Louisiana. Great grandchildren, Fisher Lane Yarbrough, Kaylee McKissack, and Addison Bounds; and two brothers, Wayne Bounds and Danny Bounds also of Louisiana.

Mr. Bounds was a proud Veteran of the United States Army and served in Vietnam. He devoted his life to his wife and children. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and loved ones.

Visitation for Mr. Bounds will be on Sunday, December 6, 2015 from 3:00pm until 7:00pm at the Woodfin Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 7, 2015 at 1:00pm. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery with Military Honors.
