Morris Ray Young age 72 of Murfreesboro, passed away Sunday March 15, 2015. A native of Marshall County he was the son of the late Roy and Sarah Paul McMahan. He is also preceded in death by his sister, Emily Alcorn. Funeral service will be 11:00am Thursday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery with friends serving as pallbearers. Morris is survived by his wife of 47 years; Beverly Snyder Young, daughter; Kimberly Pate and her husband Butch, sons; Kevin Young and his fiancée Cami, Troy Young and his wife Melissa all of Murfreesboro, eight grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. He is also survived by his sister; Judy Wright and her husband Charles, a brother; Mitchell McMahan and his wife Judy and his aunt Marie Robinson of Chapel Hill. Mr. Young retired from Cummings Sign as a painter, and worked for the Postal Service for six years. Visitation will be 4:00pm until 8:00pm Wednesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.
