Morris Lackey, age 73, of Rockvale, TN, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 17, 2016. A native of Nashville, TN, he was the son of the late Elam Anderson and Gladys Key Lackey.

Funeral services will be Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Brother Tony Anderson will officiate. A graveside service will be Monday at 1:00 p.m. in Covington Cemetery.

Mr. Lackey is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Fran Lackey; son, David Anderson Lackey; sisters, Jean Peyton, Luana Hicks, and Elaine Fryer; brother, Bill Lackey of CA; granddaughter, Shelby Lackey of Christiana; along with several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Lackey was a retired Machine Operator with General Mills. He was an avid enthusiast of classic cars and muscle cars. He was a loving husband and father and will be greatly missed by his family and all those who knew him.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be Monday from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.
