Mona  L. Brady, age 83 passed away on June 14, 2016 in Spokane, WA at Brookdale Care Center of Nine Mile. She was born to Bob Lewis and Optie McGee in Bowling Green, KY on November 8, 1932.

Mona grew up in Bowling Green, KY. She graduated from College High School and attended Western Kentucky Teacher's College. Mona's great-uncle (the Cherry family) founded Western Kentucky Teacher's College / Western Kentucky University. She married Robert Franklin Brady in McKeesport, PA on November 12, 1955. She worked and retired from Rutherford County Board of Education. She lived in Clarksville, TN while Robert  was in the Army.  Robert  retired from Ft. Campbell, KY as a Lt. Col.  She was a beloved mother and grandmother. The Family wants to thank Brookdale Care Center , Hospice of Spokane, and  Adams Place of Murfreesboro for their past Care of Mona.

Mona is survived by her daughter Robin Van Bommel  (Rob) and grandson Thomas Brady Van Bommel.  She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Franklin Brady and her parents.

A Memorial Service will be held at Woodfin Memorial Chapel, 1488 Lascassas Pike, Murfreesboro, TN on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at 3:00PM.  In Lieu  of Flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Murfreesboro, First Baptist Church of Murfreesboro, or the Wounded Warrior Project.
