Mrs. Minnie Belle Baldwin Curtin, age 79, of Murfreesboro, TN passed away Monday, May 22, 2017. She was born in Double Springs, TN to the late James Monroe and Grace Philpot Baldwin. She was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, friend, and blessing to all who encountered her presence. Her faith, family, and friends provided her with an enjoyment for life. Her smile and laugh were contagious. She was a beautiful person with a kind spirit. She enjoyed gardening, feeding birds, watching Wheel of Fortune, and spending time with her family. Mom will be sorely missed.

Mrs. Curtin is survived by her son, Thomas M. Whalen; daughters, Cheryl Davis and her husband Whitaker, Cynthia D. Whalen, and Kimberly L. Purtee all of Murfreesboro; sister, Patricia Baldwin of Smyrna; brother, Carsy Baldwin of Cookeville; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, James Baldwin, Charles Baldwin, Howard Baldwin, Buddy Baldwin, Peggy Judd, Dorothy West, and Mattie Jones.

Visitation with the family will be Friday, May 26, 2017 from 10:00am until 11:00am at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 26, 2017 at 11:00am at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Marc Lewis will officiate. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
