Mildred Anna Miss Millie Paulin, age 89, passed away Monday, July 18, 2011. A native of Carthegena, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Rose Osterfeld Bertke. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Nicholas James Paulin who died in 1999; and three brothers, Walter, Richard and Robert Bertke. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00AM at St. Elizabeth Orthodox Church. Father John Oliver and Father Nicholas Harbatis will officiate. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Mrs. Paulin is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jo Ann and Robert Lamento of Murfreesboro; grandson, Nicholas Carl DeSimone of Nashville; brother, Linus Bertke of Dayton, Ohio; godson, Gerald Bertke of St. Henrys, Ohio and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Bertke was a member of St. Elizabeth Orthodox Church. She was a clerk at Elite Ice Cream and Candy Co. and was also employed with National Cash Register in Dayton, Ohio. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Alzheimers Association.
