Mildred C. "Millie" Ortner, age 91 of Murfreesboro, TN, died Friday March 29, 2013. A native of Chicago, IL, she was the daughter of the late Stephen Andrew and Margaret Mesha Turza. Mrs. Ortner was also preceded in death by her husband, Richard William "Dick" Ortner and by a brother, Robert "Bob" Turza. Mrs. Ortner is survived by her daughters, Cynthia "Cindy" Hodorowicz and her husband John of Murfreesboro, TN, and Nadine "Dina" Ortner of Powder Springs, GA; grandchildren, Rachel Hitt, Megan, Neil, and Sharon Hodorowicz; brother, Theodore "Ted" Turza of Port St. Joe, FL; sister-in-law, Mary Anne Turza of Aurora, IL; many nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews and many wonderful friends. Funeral service will be 12:00 Noon Tuesday at Advent Lutheran Church, 1700 Irby Lane, Murfreesboro, TN 37127, with Pastor Michael Jannett officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Inurnment will follow in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA at a later date. Mrs. Ortner was a very active member of the Advent Lutheran Church and a retired Executive Secretary with Amoco Oil Company. Visitation will be from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM Monday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel and Tuesday from 11:00 AM until the time of the service at Advent Lutheran Church.
