Mildred F. Klinner, age 88 of Murfreesboro, TN, formerly of Montgomery, AL, passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2014. A native of Russellville, AL, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Clayton and Emma Clay Farned. Mrs. Klinner was also preceded in death by her husband, Henry Crawford Klinner, her brother, William S. Farned, step-daughter, Henrinell Lawrence, step-sons, John R., James F., and Paul E. Klinner. Mrs. Klinner is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Rick Thornton of Murfreesboro, TN; grandchildren, Kim McLain Hawthorne of Auburn, AL, Johnny (Gena) Klinner of Prattville, AL, and Jonell (Ron) Sergent of Huntsville, AL; grandson-in-law, Mike Hawthorne of Montgomery, AL; great grandchildren, Naomi Klinner and Carmen Huff of Prattville, AL, Andrea and Connor Hawthorne of Auburn, AL, Cindy (Chuck) Bates of Birmingham, AL, Melissa (Charlie) Richardson of Meridianville, AL, and Sonny (Debbie) Davis of Huntsville, AL; daughters in law, Ellen S. Klinner of Huntsville, AL and Jane M. Klinner of Prattville, AL, along with 4 great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Woodfin Memorial Chapel, Murfreesboro, TN, and from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM Sunday at Heritage Baptist Church in Montgomery, AL, with the service to follow at 3:00 PM. Burial will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery in Montgomery, AL. Mrs. Klinner taught Sunday School for more than 40 years at Highland Avenue Baptist Church and then at Morningview Baptist Church, both in Montgomery, AL.
