Michelle Ann Savko, age 53, of Murfreesboro died August 18, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family. She was a native of Tucson, AZ and was preceded in death by her father, Robert Jones. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Brian Paul Savko, mother, Linda Wood Jones of Richmond, VA, son, John Robert Savko (Briesi Davis) of Murfreesboro, daughter, Elizabeth Savko of Murfreesboro, sister, Gina Bailey (Tony) of Richmond, VA, grandchild, Hunter Savko of Murfreesboro.

Michelle was a very active member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church where she was a former Parish Council member; Sunday School Teacher; Extraordinary Minister and Lector.  She was employed for 20 years at St. Rose, 16 years as the Pre-School Director and currently an administrator for the St. Rose School.  She graduated from Florida State University in 1985.

Michelle loved her children, and all children.  It was her lifelong dream to work with young children which was evident by all that knew and worked with her.  She loved all the members of the St. Rose Community.

Michelle wished to thank everyone who assisted her and her family over many years, especially these last few months. She is eternally thankful, and thanks God for all of you.

Funeral Mass will be 6:00PM Monday at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Father Nicholas Allen and Deacon Pete Semich will officiate. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be at 4:00PM Monday at St. Rose. There will be a celebration of life reception at St. Rose afterwards.
