Michael William Schmidt

Michael William Schmidt, age 80 of Murfreesboro, TN, passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2026. A native of Elm, NJ, he was the son of Christopher Len Schmidt and Concetta “Connie” Deluca Schmidt. He was also preceded in death by a brother, John Schmidt.

Mr. Schmidt is survived by his wife, Josie Jones Schmidt; daughter, Christine Schmidt of Tampa, FL; granddaughters, Lisa, Meghan, and Ashley; several great-grandchildren; and a sister, Lenda Difulgntis of the Villages of Florida.

Visitation will be held Monday, August 17, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.

Mr. Schmidt was a Vietnam Air Force veteran and retired from Irwin Automotive.
