Michael D. Neely, age 59 of Murfreesboro, was born June 23, 1958 and died December 31, 2017 at the Residence at Alive Hospice, Murfreesboro after a lengthy illness.

Born in Rutherford Hospital, Murfreesboro, he was a 1976 graduate of Oakland High School and went on to graduate from MTSU in 1982 with a major in marketing and communications and a minor in English. During his career, he worked in Atlanta and Los Angeles, as well as travelling extensively. He moved back to Tennessee after he became ill in 2004.

He was preceded in death by his father, James E. Neely, and nephews, Jimmy Preston and Josh Hill.

Survivors include his mother, Juanelle Neely Eddleman; brothers, Jimmy Neely, Tony (Tammy) Neely, Paul (Shireen) Neely, Jody (Robin) Neely; and sisters, Lana Preston and Rita Hill. He was also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other loving family.

Visitation with the family will be 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.
