Mr. Michael Wayne Johnson, age 66, of LaVergne, TN passed away at home Thursday, November 5, 2015. He was born in S. Charleston, W. VA to the late Edwin and Betty Jo Hudson Johnson. Mr. Johnson retired as a diesel mechanic for U.S. Steel and proudly served his country in the United States Navy. Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife of 45 years Donna Johnson; two sons, Michael A. Johnson and his wife Angela of Smyrna and Derek Johnson and his wife Ali of LaVergne; seven grandchildren, Michael, Jr., Matthew, Joshua, Sierra, Ryan, Nicholas, and Samuel; three brothers, Roger Johnson, Gary Johnson, and Charles Sands; four sisters, Rena Young, Karen Johnson, Jean Walend, and Pamela Johnson; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
