MICHAEL MIKE EVERETT DAVIS age 58 of Smyrna, TN, died Saturday Sept. 27, 2008. He was the son of Elmer A. and Christine Evelyn Griffith Davis of Smyrna, TN. Survived by wife, Connie Adcock Davis, son, Michael Denny Davis of Lascassas, TN, daughter and son in-law, Tara Lynn and Chris Dalton and granddaughter, Baylee Grace Dalton all of Smyrna, TN. Mr. Davis is also survived by parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer A. Davis of Smyrna, TN, sister, Sarah Lynn Taylor of Manchester, TN, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby G. Davis. Funeral service will be 1:00PM Tuesday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna with Pastor Charles Fritts officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Mr. Davis was an active member and leader of The Community Church (Church of God Fellowship) in Brentwood, TN. He retired from Bellsouth after 28 years of service, recently contracted with Celebration Homes, and was a 1968 graduate of Smyrna High School. Mike was a loving husband, father, and Papa, influencing many lives among family and friends. He will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial contributions to The Community Church at 1600 Wilson Pike Brentwood, TN 37027. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
