Meredith Smotherman Cunningham, age 68, of Antioch, TN passed away November 25, 2011. A native of Eagleville, TN she was the daughter of the late William Bryan and Mai Katherine Neal Smotherman. Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:00AM at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Pastor Greg Dunn will officiate. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Ms. Cunningham is survived by her three sisters and brothers-in-law, Nancy (Buddy) Whaley-Bills of Chapel Hill, TN, Margaret Smotherman of Eagleville, TN and Molly (Randy) Templeton of Decatur, AL; brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy (Patti) Smotherman of Eagleville; and several nieces and nephews. Ms. Cunningham was a member of Cane Ridge Cumberland Presbyterian Church and was a retired Metro School Teacher of 30 years. She graduated from Eagleville High School in 1961 and received her Bachelors from Belmont University in 1965. She was a member of the ADK Sorority, the Cane Ridge Sisters and the retired Teachers Association. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Cane Ridge Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Visitation with the family will be from 2:00PM to 6:00PM Sunday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. 893-5151
