Melvin Houston Crutcher, Sr. age 74 of Smyrna died Friday January 18, 2019. He was a native of Davidson County and was preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca "Becky" Crutcher; parents, Melvin Crutcher, and Frances Wilson Crutcher; brother, Steve Crutcher. Mr. Crutcher was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church and retired Check Printer. He was a veteran of the United States Army.

Mr. Crutcher is survived by his son, Trey Crutcher, Jr. and wife Laura of Smyrna; daughter, Mechell Mayhew and husband Bryan of Reliance, TN.; grandchildren, Chase Mayhew and wife Santana of Murfreesboro, Chelsea Luckett and husband Jordan of Murfreesboro, Andrew Crutcher of Smyrna; great-grandchildren, Braelyn and Eliyanah Mayhew; sisters, Sherrie Dean and husband Arnold of Virginia, Karen Bachelor of LaVergne; brother, Barry Crutcher wife Michelle of LaVergne.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 3PM until 7PM at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Graveside service with Military Honors will be 2PM Thursday at Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery in Pegram. www.woodfinchapel.com
