Melody Ann Simons Johnson Russell, age 34, of Murfreesboro, TN passed away on Sunday, April 29, 2018.

She is survived by her children, Samantha Claire Johnson and Brady Campbell Johnson both of Nashville; parents, Jimmy and Sherry Simons of Middleton, TN; grandmother, Shirley Ann Koelsch of Spring Hill, TN; uncles, Rex Koelsch and his wife Marie of Tulsa, OK and Andy Koelsch and his wife Celia of Anchorage, AK; aunt, Lesa Massengill and her husband Jon of Murfreesboro; step-brothers, Andy Simons and his wife Brandi of Whiteville, TN and Mike Simons and his wife Jacque of Rossville, TN; along with much loving extended family.

Melody was a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University. She received her bachelor's degree in Social Work and was employed with Trustpoint Hospital in Murfreesboro. She was a loving mother and will be greatly missed by all those who knew her.

be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or to Vanderbilt Children's Hospital.
