Miss Melanie Anne Brashears, age 33, of Murfreesboro, TN passed away Friday, April 5, 2019 in Shoharie, NY. She was born in Moline, IL to Duane Ray Brashears and Patricia Michele Garber. Melanie was a 2004 graduate of LaVergne High School. She attended Paul Mitchell School and worked as a barber and hair stylist.

Melanie is survived by her mother, Patricia Michele Garber and her husband David of Rockvale, TN; father, Duane Ray Brashears and his wife Dolores of Moline, IL; daughter, Makenna Rose Garber of Rockvale; siblings, Daniel Ray Robert Brashears and his wife Summer of Milton, TN, Jenna Michele Brashears of Eagleville, TN, Matthew Joseph Garber and Makayla Jo Garber of Rockvale; step-siblings, Danielle Roberts and her husband Sean and Andrew Cook and his wife Casey all of Moline; maternal grandparents, Robert Joseph and MaryJo Pulford of Moline; nephews, Braxton Brashears and Kingston Bonds; special friend, Joe Peek; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Ray and Rose Brashears.

Visitation with the family will be Saturday, April 13, 2019 from 12:00noon until 2:00pm at Woodfin Memorial Chapel, Murfreesboro. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 13, 2019 at 2:00pm at Woodfin Memorial Chapel, Murfreesboro. Burial will take place in Simpson Cemetery, 200 Baptist Church Rd, Eagleville, TN.
