Maxine Joan Wood Adams, age 78 of Murfreesboro died Sunday September 10, 2017 at her home. She was a native of Chesterton, Indiana and was the daughter of the late Elmer and Leona Beam Wood, also preceded in death by her son Peter Allen Adams. Mrs. Adams was a member of Franklin Road Baptist Church and a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Funeral service will be 2:00PM Friday at Franklin Road Baptist Church with Dr. Mike Norris and Rev. Stephen Mee officiating.

Mrs. Adams is survived by her husband of 60 years, Peter "Pete" Adams; sons, Rev. Steven Adams and wife Nancy of Murfreesboro, Timothy Adams and wife Lisa of Murfreesboro, Abraham Adams of Nashville; daughters, Jo Ann Hartsell of Illinois, Hannah Koehler and husband Ron of Hixson, TN.; sister, Kay Miller of Texas; 13 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren.
