Mattie Wright, age 86 of Murfreesboro passed away on Monday, July 24, 2017. She was a native of Davidson County and the daughter of the late Morton and Mabel Hedgepath. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Pleas William Wright, Sr.

Funeral service will be 12noon Thursday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Dr. Jim Clardy and Dr. Craig Goff will officiate. Interment will be 3:00pm Thursday at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.

She is survived by her son, Pleas William Wright, Jr. and his wife Kathryn of Murfreesboro;  daughter, Lenore Baker and husband John of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Pleas William Wright, III and wife Kelly, Clint Wright and wife Oliva, Karen Wright, Dayna Walker and husband Josh, Jason Baker and wife Amanda; great-grandchildren; Matthew Walker and Nathan Walker;  sister, Dorothy Gregory of Nashville

Mrs. Wright was a member of Jefferson Pike Church of Christ and later attended St. Marks United Methodist Church.
