Mattie W. Tucker, age 85, of Smyrna, died Monday, March 25, 2013. Mrs. Tucker was the daughter of the late Jesse and Rose Brewer Warrick. She was also preceded in death by her husband Perry E. Tucker who died in 1986. Mrs. Tucker is survived by her son Donald Tucker of Smyrna; daughter Shirley Matthews of Murfreesboro; sisters Edna Belle Brewer of Smyrna and Eleanor Ruth Lynn of Manchester; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandson. Funeral service will be 11:00am Wednesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Grandsons and Nephews will serve as pallbearers. Mrs. Tucker was a member of Wilson Line Baptist Church and retired from Smyrna Elementary School as the Cafeteria Manager. Visitation will be 4:00 until 8:00pm Tuesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.
