Mattie Elizabeth Potts age 96, died Sunday, November 13, 2011. Mrs. Potts is the daughter of the late Oval and Nora Adams Bingham. Mrs. Potts is preceded in death by her husbands Jessie T. Lannom and Ernest Potts; step-father Luke Bingham; step-son Robert Thomas; one granddaughter; four brothers and one sister. Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Wednesday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Bro. Milton Hicks and Bro. B.C. Saddler will officiate. Burial will follow at Mapleview Cemetery. Mrs. Potts is survived by daughters Mattie Patterson and Bessie Klein; step-sons George and Rufus Potts; step-daughter E.Taylor; four grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren. Mrs. Potts was a member of First Baptist Church of LaVergne and retired from Central State Hospital in 1962. Visitation will be 4:00 " 8:00 PM Tuesday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna.
