Mattie Bell Lorance, age 71, passed away on Monday, January 18, 2016 at NHC Healthcare Center. She was born in Rutherford County and lived her entire life here in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

Mattie was preceded in death by her mother, Maggie Prince Duncan and her husband, Charlie Michael Lorance.

Mattie was a loving member of Mars Hill Church of Christ in Christiana, TN.

Visitation with family and friends will be from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at Woodfin Funeral Chapel, 1488 Lascassas Pike here in Murfreesboro, TN. Graveside services will be conducted immediately following visitation at Evergreen Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest next to her husband.

Pallbearers are Leopold Lopez IV, Bryan Brewer, London Cody Allen, Hunter Allen, Kane Mason and Jimmy Carroll.

Special thanks are extended to the staff at NHC Healthcare, Caris Hospice, the North Boulevard Church of Christ Meals on Wheels program and the dietary staff at Stones River Manor.

In lieu of flowers, tax deductible memorial donations may be made to Stones River Manor's new skilled nursing and rehab center project.
