Mattie Lou Young Davis, age 83 of Smyrna passed away Sunday April 14, 2013, after a short illness. Mrs. Davis lived the majority of her life in Rutherford County where she was a Seamstress at Sewart Air Force Base for many years. She was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church in the Leanna Community. Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her husband, Charley Davis; infant son, Charley Davis, Jr.; parents, Willie Charles and Mattie Elizabeth Ross Young; brothers, Willie Peyton Young, Joe Robert Young, Kenneth Armstrong; sister, Francis Hall and daughter-in-law, Karen Magarity Davis. She is survived by her son, Terrell Davis and daughter-in-law, Mary Grace; grandchildren, Sarah Davis, William Davis, Alyson Wilson; great-granddaughter, Kilby Grace Wilson; sisters, Laura Summers, and Mary Helen Watson. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Interfaith Dental Clinic of Rutherford County, 210 Robert Rose Dr. Murfreesboro TN 37129 Funeral service will be 11:00AM Wednesday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Rev. Ken Elkins and Rev. Larry Weakley will officiate. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Nephews and friends will serve as pallbearers.
