MaryAnn Eyster, age 72, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2015 at her home in Smyrna, TN. A native of Hornell, NY and a long-time resident of East Palestine, OH she was preceded in death by her father, Samuel A. Peterson; and her husband, John Jay Eyster. Mrs. Eyster is survived by her daughter, Chris King and her husband Charles of Smyrna; son, John Michael "Mike" Eyster and his wife Christina of Murfreesboro, TN; mother, Evonna Ploss Peterson of Smyrna; and grandchildren, Bradley a nd Caitlyn King of Smyrna; and Elizabeth Eyster of Murfreesboro. Mrs. Eyster was a member of Smyrna First United Methodist Church. For many years she worked at East Palestine County Club in Negley, OH with her husband. Mrs. Eyster also was employed as a receptionist at the Murfreesboro Medical Clinic Surgery Center. She loved gardening but more especially spending time with her grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 15, 2015 at the Smyrna First United Methodist Church. Rev. Loyd Mabry will officiate. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Sunday at the church. The family request that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Association in memory of Mrs. Eyster. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Woodfin Chapel Smyrna.
