Mary "Mammie" Young age 77 of LaVergne died Saturday July 20, 2013 at home. She was a native of Rutherford County and was preceded in death by her husband, John Young, Jr. and parents, Aubrey Clayton Reed and Era Kate Ford Reed, daughter, Dolores Young. Mrs. Young was a Nurses Aid with the State of Tennessee. She is survived by children; Brenda Maxwell of LaVergne, Steve Young of LaVergne, John Young of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Era Marie Maxwell husband Bruce of LaVergne, Katina Bain and husband Tony of McMinnville, Lori Sanders and husband Daisy of Smyrna, DeAnna Welch and husband Steve of LaVergne, Brandy Young, of LaVergene, Nicole Newsome and husband Kenny of LaVergne; thirty great-grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral service will be 11AM Wednesday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Pastor Steve Marcum will officiate. Burial will follow in Thyatira Cemetery. Family and friends will sever as pallbearers.
