Mary Lou Taylor Claxton, age 82 of Lebanon, TN, passed away Thursday, August 4, 2022. Born in San Diego, CA, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Carmen Anne M i llard Taylor. Mary Lou was also preceded in death by her husband, Clayton D. Claxton who died in 2020 and two sisters, Garnet Ahrensberg and Charlene "Punkie" Codding.

Mary Lou is survived by her son, Monty Clay Claxton and his wife Donya of Lebanon, TN; daughter, Cecilia Dawn Williams and her husband Keith of Watertown, TN; grandchildren; Dakota Garrett Claxton and wife Ciara , Jesse Weldon Claxton and wife Victoria , and Hannah Brooke Williams; great-grandson, Ralph Weldon Claxton; and a sister, Billie Moore of San Diego, CA.

Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel, Murfreesboro, TN. Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Tuesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Rev. Terry Carver officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery in Lebanon, TN with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

Mary Lou was a member of Calvary Baptist in Lebanon, TN, and a homemaker. She also worked security for Rode West Band.
