MARY ALICE SUGG HOLDEN, age 89, of Christiana died Saturday, January 16, 2010. She was a native of Rutherford County and the daughter of the late Jesse G. and Estelle Parker Sugg. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Buford Holden, Jr., who died in 1964. Funeral service will be 10:30am Monday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Bro. Darryl Lewis will officiate. Burial will be in Miller Cemetery. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jack S. and Gerry Holden of Christiana, granddaughter, Stacey (Kevin) Reed of Christiana, great grandchildren, Katie and Shawn Reed. Mrs. Holden was a member of the Christiana Presbyterian Church, a graduate of Christiana High School and a 1970 graduate of MTSU. She was a teacher at Christiana Elementary School until her retirement in 1987. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
