Mary Ellen Stone Pinkerton, age 94 of Deatsville, AL, passed away Thursday, October 19, 2023, peacefully at her home. A native of Clay County, TN, she was the daughter of the late Oliver and Wealtha Cherry Stone. Mrs. Pinkerton was also preceded in death by her husband, Walter E. Pinkerton; son, Michael Pinkerton; sisters, Liz Dyer, Pauline Coe, Ruth Allen, Helen Henard and Lenore Mullinax; and brothers, Oliver, and Hugh Stone.

Mrs. Pinkerton is survived by son, Kevin Pinkerton and his wife Lisa of Pensacola, FL; daughter, Vicki Sellars and her husband Buck of Deatsville, AL; sister, Edith Stone of Murfreesboro, TN; grandchildren, Lindy Annis and her husband Ira, Sabrina McKinney and her husband Kirk, Ally Lewis and her husband Zack, and Holly Peacock and her husband Jason; and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. A graveside service will be held at 12:30 PM at Roselawn Memorial Gardens with Bud Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens with Buck Sellars, Ira Annis, Jim Coe, Wilson Martin, Paul Richardson, and Jerry Stone serving as pallbearers. Nephews will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Mrs. Pinkerton was a member of Grandview Pines Church of Christ and retired from childcare.
