Mary Edith Wood Snider, age 79, of Murfreesboro, TN, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 21, 2016. A native of Soddy-Daisy, TN she was preceded in death by her parents, Walter T. Wood Jr. and Marie Texana Dyke Wood; and brother, Walter George Wood.

A memorial service will be Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul's Episcopal Church. The Reverend James K. Polk Van Zandt will officiate.

Ms. Snider is survived by her children, Don Clayton and his wife Melanie of Murfreesboro and Kathie Clayton and her husband Randall Macala of Huntsville, AL; sister, Martha Wood Hager of Goodlettsville, TN; grandchildren, Matthew Clayton and his wife Cait of Greer, SC, Allie Clayton of Winston-Salem, NC, and Sarah Grace Macala of Huntsville, AL; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Ms. Snider was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church. Ms. Snider was a loving daughter, mother, sister, and grandmother and cherished her family very much. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Memorials in memory of Ms. Snider can be made to the Building Fund at St. Paul's Episcopal Church at 116 N Academy St, Murfreesboro, TN 37130.

A visitation with reception will follow after the service Wednesday at St. Paul's Episcopal Church.
