Mary Russell, age 78, of Smyrna, TN, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 4, 2016. A native of Knoxville, TN, she was preceded in death by her parents, James Ruble and Hazel Cordell Carroll Martin; brother, Jim Martin and his wife Jean; and sister-in-law, Betty Martin.

Funeral Services will be Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Woodfin Chapel in Smyrna. Brother Steve Marcum will officiate.

Mrs. Russell is survived by her daughters, Debbie McDaniel and her husband Ron of Murfreesboro, TN, and Suzy Brady and her husband Mike of Murfreesboro, TN; grandchildren, Amanda McDaniel of Murfreesboro, TN and Caitlin Brady of Shelbyville, TN; four great-grandchildren, Annalise and Kyra Collins, Diyar Soro, and Tripp Fox; brother, Thomas Martin of Knoxville, TN; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mrs. Russell was retired in sales with Olan Mills photography. She was a loving mother, grandmother and sister who always was on the go. She loved staying busy, going to the Y.M.C.A., visiting her friends at the LaVergne, Smyrna and Murfreesboro Senior Citizen Centers and shopping. Mrs. Russell was also an avid bowler, square dancer and loved playing a great game of cards. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Visitation will be Sunday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Woodfin Chapel in Smyrna.
