Mary Brothers Powell of Fosterville, died Wednesday at her home. She was a native of Fosterville, and the daughter of the late Macon and Louise Bingham Brothers.

Mrs. Powell is survived by  her husband of 64 years, Don Powell; daughters, Susan McConnell and her husband Ricky of Fosterville and Sherry Hamlett and her husband Charlie of Fosterville; brother, Samuel Brothers and his wife Jerrie of Fosterville; sister, Jean Messick of Fosterville; grandchildren, Jacquelyn Vandygriff and her husband Kelly, Dusty Hamlett and wife Kristie of Christiana, Danielle Sanders and her husband Jerry of Murfreesboro, and Miranda McConnell of Fosterville, and three great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Powell was a member of the Fosterville Church of Christ and a 1951 graduate of Christiana High School. She was a retired therapist at Bedford County Hospital.

Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Saturday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Jeff Adcock officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodfin Cemetery in Fosterville. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM Saturday until the time of service. Family will serve as pallbearers. Memorials may be made to the Churches of Christ Disaster Relief Effort in memory of Mrs. Powell.
