MARY RUTH MORTON, age 70, passed away at her home, Monday, June 15, 2009. She was a native of Rutherford County and the daughter of the late Johnny Robert and Willie Brown Williamson Dunn. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Wayne Dunn. Funeral service will be 10:00 am Thursday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. David Humphrey will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Readie Morton, children, Randy (Pam) Morton, Terry (Donna) Morton, Michael Dale Tinker Morton, Brenda (Mike) Walker, Joyce (David) Brothers, all of Murfreesboro, brothers, Willie Robert Dunn, Clifford (Libby) Dunn, Larry (Barbara) Dunn, Ronnie Paul Dunn, brothers-in-law, James Jackson (Judy) Morton, Gene Howard (Diane) Morton, sister-in-law, Lillie Bernice (John) Walls, Mary Ann Sewell, 14 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Morton was a lifelong resident of Rutherford County. Family and friends will serve as Pallbearers.
