Mary Luke Miner, age 86 of Smyrna, died Wednesday at Christian Care of Rutherford County. She was a native of Burnsville, NC and a daughter of the late Luke and Ethel Laughrun. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Walter Lyons Miner; brothers Roy and Jack Laughrun; a sister Betty Jo Hatfield and a granddaughter Carrie Pruitt. Mrs. Miner is survived by her daughters Anna Lucille Pruitt of Smyrna, Mary Alice Miner of Nashville and Nancy Cheatham and her husband Alan of Knoxville; brothers Floyd Laughrun of Burnsville, NC and Ray Laughrun and his wife Doris of South Carolina; sisters Anna Lou Hughes and her husband Farrell of Burnsville, NC and Wanda Hope Laws and her husband A.J. of Atlanta; four grandchildren Jennifer Wilson and her husband Patrick, Luke Brown and his wife Lynn, Bill Pruitt and Jacob Cheatham; five great grandchildren and a host of other loving family and friends. Services will be 1:00pm Saturday, April 5, 2014 at Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum under the direction of Woodfin Memorial Chapel.
