Mary Elizabeth Long, age 87, passed away Friday, May 31, 2024. She was born in Jackson County, Tennessee to the late Girstle and Zelma Emerton. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Chester Long; son, Danny Long; brothers, Roger Emerton and James Emerton; and sister, Ruth Smith.

She is survived by her son, Ricky Long; daughter, Marsha Jackson; several grandchildren; brother, John Emerton; sister, Sally Stafford; nieces, nephews, and many other family and friends.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Woodfin Memorial Chapel to assist the family with funeral services.
