Mary "Helen" Lentz Boyd, age 85 of Smyrna died Wednesday January 6, 2016. She was a native of Warren County and was a member of Smyrna Church of Christ. Mrs. Boyd was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Gerald Boyd; children, Dennis Boyd of Nashville, Carl Boyd and wife Karen of Smyrna; daughter-in-law, Johnnie Ann Boyd of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Marshall Boyd and wife Hillary of Hendersonville, Michelle Watson and husband Jeremy of Virginia, Brittany Oliver and husband Jason of Murfreesboro, Adam and Conner Boyd of Smyrna; great-grandchildren, Brooklyn and Boston Boyd, Owen and Harper Watson, Ann-Marie and Evelyn Oliver; brother, J.D. Lentz of McMinnville. Mrs. Boyd was preceded in death by her parents, Maurice and Mary Lou Doak Lentz; son, Dr. Phillip Gerald Boyd; brothers, Webb Thomas Lentz and Harold Lentz.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Smyrna Church of Christ.

Funeral service will be 10:30 AM Saturday at Woodfin Chapel Smyrna. Brother Bill Davis and Brother Ron Caldwell will officiate. Graveside service will be 2:00PM Saturday at Hebron Cemetery in Warren County. Family will serve as pallbearers.Visitation will be 4:00PM to 8:00PM Friday at Woodfin Chapel Smyrna.
