Mary Evelyn King, age 87, died Tuesday April 13, 2010. A native of Harriman, TN. she was the daughter of the late Gabriel Theodore Sr. and Mary Ellen Scarbrough Weaver. She is also preceded in death by her husband, James Cordell King Sr., two brothers; William Crawford Weaver and Gabriel Theodore Weaver Jr. and her sister Vera Kate White. Services will be Thursday at 6:00 PM at Woodfin Chapel Smyrna. Pastor Megan Ritchie will officiate. Visitation will be held before from 4:00 PM until the time of service. A private graveside will be held at Middle TN. Veterans Cemetery Friday. Mrs. King is survived by two daughters and sons in law; Jill (Rod) McBee of Smyrna and Donna (Edwin) Groves of Kentucky, and two sons and daughters in law; David (Rosa) King of Smyrna and James (Paula) King Jr. of Cookville, a brother; Charles Afton Weaver, three sisters; Lana Jean Hofman, Vivian Deloris Yarbrough and Verna Mae Thompson, six grandchildren; Thomas Cordell Groves, Angela Lynn Gillis, Rachel Courtney Aytes, James Cordell King III, Thomas Gabriel King, and Sandra Maria Evelyn King, and five great grandchildren; Joshua Thomas Groves, Gabriel Mason Gillis, Casey Alexander Gillis, Brady Thomas Gillis and Hannah Michelle Aytes.
