MARY VIRGINIA JACOBS NOVAK, age 97, of Lavergne, Tn. died Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at StoneCrest Medical Center. She was born in Rutherford County and was the daughter of the late Grover Cleveland & Eula Hoover Jacobs, Sr. She is survived by nieces and nephews; Charles Jacobs, Barbara Ralston, Doris Outland, Patsy Hilliard, Elaine Spradley, Connie Bush, Brenda McCormack, Sarah Roberts, Cleve Jacobs and Jane Deveaux; several great nieces and nephews, and special friend Travis McGuire. Visitation with the family will be after 1 pm Friday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with services to follow at 2 pm Friday with Rev. Frank Blair officiating. Burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Novak was a member of the Methodist Church, and a retired employee of May Hosiery Mills of Nashville, Tn. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Novak, her sisters, Katherine Elrod, Magdeline Casity, Dorothy Cawthon and her brothers, Owen Jacobs, Claude Jacobs, John Jacobs, Thurman Jacobs and G.
