Mary Jacquline "Jackie" McPeak, age 70, of Smyrna passed away on Monday, July 28, 2014. She was a native of Baltimore, Maryland and the daughter of the late Basil and Ruth Sutton McElwee. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Patricia Wright. Funeral service will be 11:00am Friday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Bro. Jerry Smith will officiate. Burial will follow in Lannom Cemetery. Mrs. McPeak is survived by her husband, Johnny McPeak, son, Donnie Bartley and his wife Debbie of Lavergne, daughters, Penny Burns and her husband Phillip of Smyrna and Tracy McPeak of Nashville, brothers, B.J. McElwee and his wife Carla of Culleoka, Pastor John McElwee and his wife Eleanor of Baltimore, MD and J.V. Valentine and his wife Jewell of Waynesboro, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Mrs. McPeak was a Hostess for Waffle House in Smyrna. The family wants to extend special thanks to the staff and patrons of Waffle House for their love and support and Dr. Gary Swartz and staff for the loving care they provided.
