MARY ROSS HIXSON, age 87, of Murfreesboro, died Sunday, June 14, 2009. She was a native of Dunlap, TN and the daughter of the late Sam and Elizabeth Jackson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, George Buddy Hixson in 2004. Funeral service will be 10:00am Wednesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel, Murfreesboro, TN. Bro. Frank Blair will officiate. Graveside service will be 1:00pm Wednesday in Chapel Hill Cemetery, Dunlap, TN. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law: Diann and Morris Summers of Lebanon, sons and daughters-in-law, G.C. and Stella Hixson of Murfreesboro, R.B. and Fran Hixson of Murfreesboro, sisters, Nina Jo Smith and Nola Miller, both of Chattanooga, grandchildren, Rhonda Bunch, Norman Summers, Clay Hixson, Cory Hixson, Megan Hixson, great grandchildren, Garrett Bunch, Walker Bunch, Carter Bunch, Jackson Summers, Campbell Hixson, and Piper Hixson. Mrs. Hixson was a member of Haynes Chapel United Methodist Church and a Homemaker. Family and friends will serve as Pallbearers.
