Mary Ellen Forbes Hawk, age 94 of Smyrna, TN, passed away Friday January 30, 2015. A native of Granby Center, NY, she was the daughter of the late Curtis and Belle Davis Forbes. Mrs. Hawk was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Edward Hawk. Mrs. Hawk is survived by her sons, John Hawk of Smyrna, TN, and Paul Hawk of Auburn, NY; sister, Rosie Myers of Cato, NY; sister-in-law, Margaret Pero of Fulton, NY; five grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and two step-great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at a later date at the Emerson Rural Cemetery in Emerson, NY. Mrs. Hawk was a member of the United Church of Christ in Emerson, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Smyrna First United Methodist Church Benevolence Fund, 301 Sam Davis Road, Smyrna, TN 37167, in memory of Mrs. Hawk.
