MARY LORENA GRANNY MOSELEY FILER age 80 of Murfreesboro, TN, but formerly of Greenville, MS, died Saturday April 16, 2011 at the home of her daughter. A native of Point, TX, she was the daughter of the late Marvin Payne and Lily Estelle Horton Moseley. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Theodore H. Ted Filer, Jr. who died in 2007 and her sister, Eudell Reinartz. Mrs. Filer is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Janet Lynn Filer Fulton and Roy Fulton of Murfreesboro, TN; grandsons, Louis and Chris Fulton both of Murfreesboro, TN; brother, Charley Floyd Chock Moseley of Texas City, TX; sister, Loretta Ross of Fort Worth, TX; 9 nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday at Roselawn Memorial Gardens with Deacon Tom McGrane officiating. Mary will be laid to rest beside her husband Ted in Roselawn with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Mrs. Filer attended St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church and was retired as Civil Defense Director in Greenville, MS for over 25 Years. Mary and Ted relocated to Murfreesboro in 2007 to be near her daughter and her family. She enjoyed shopping with her daughter Janet. She was a happy, vivacious, joyful, caring and loving mother. Mary loved people, she loved to go, and loved sitting outside watching the birds and admiring the flowers. The greatest love she had was her two grandsons, Chris and Louis Fulton, and Granny was their greatest love. She was well respected and loved and will be greatly missed.
