Mary "Christine" Gossett of Smyrna, TN, ended her life's journey on earth at the age of 99 years and joined her heavenly Father and Lord Jesus Christ on Saturday, September 6, 2025.

Christine, as she was known to friends and family was born on April 8, 1926 in Hickman County, TN to the late Dossie and Lillie Mae Bissinger. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband of 73 years, James Wesley "J.W." Gossett.

She and her husband served the Lord at Stewarts Creek Church of Christ for more than 50 years and will be remembered as good and faithful servants by all. Christine and J.W. loved farming, cooking for people, travelling, and playing cards with friends.

She is survived by two devoted sons, Roy Gossett and his wife Cindy, Wayne Gossett and his wife Jayne; grandchildren, Troy Gossett and his wife Marcy, Salena Scott and her husband James, and Bryan Gossett; four great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and her constant support and loving dog, Jko; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Though sad and grief stricken, the family finds peace knowing she is now walking the streets of heaven hand in hand with J.W.

Visitation with the family will be Tuesday, September 9, 2025 from 10:00-12:00 PM at Woodfin Chapel Smyrna. Funeral service will begin at 12:00 PM. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

Honorary pallbearers will be the elders, deacons, and all the church family at Stewarts Creek Church of Christ, Wayne Lee, David Lee, Lynne Lee, and Sue Harris.
