Mary Ruth Frizzell, age 70 of Murfreesboro, passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2016. She was a native of Rutherford County and was the daughter of the late Roy and Helen Lamb Wood.

A loving wife, devoted mother, and memaw, she is survived by her husband of 46 years, Wade Frizzell; daughters, Tamra Chapman and husband John of Murfreesboro and Tracey Tapp and husband Michael of Christiana; grandchildren, Logan, Caleb, Kendall, Riley, Noah, and Lily Ruth Chapman, and Dylan, Destiny, and Drew Tapp; a brother, Robert Wood and wife Evelyn of Bedford County; and a host of other loving family and friends.

Mrs. Frizzell was a member of the Baptist faith and she and her husband had attended Crossway Baptist and Belle Aire Baptist Churches. She retired from Chromolox after 23 years of service and most recently retired from Murfreesboro City Schools as an educational assistant.

Visitation will be Thursday night from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be 12:00 noon Friday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Dr. Dean Sisk officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens and
her oldest grandson, Dylan Tapp, along with her nephews will serve as pallbearers.
