Mary Jo Fann, age 74 of LaVergne died at her home Friday, September 25, 2015. She was a native of Nashville and was the daughter of the late, Joe B. and Mary Coleman Smith. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Fann, Jr.; a son, Bruce Allen Fann; and sister, Jo Ann Garvin. Mrs. Fann was a member of LaVergne First Baptist Church and had worked in the Cafeteria at LaVergne Primary School. She was a member of LaVergne Rowdy Redhatters. Mrs. Fann is survived by her children; Debra Higginbotham and husband Lynn of LaVergne, Brenda Fann of Smyrna, Teresa Garrison and husband Scotty of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Morgan, Courtney, Brandon, Dustin, Holly, Tyler, Jessica; great-grandchildren, Paxton and Saylor Wall; sister, Patricia Robbins of Summerville S.C. Funeral service will be 11:00AM Tuesday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Brother Bill Thomason will officiate. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
