Obituary

MARY FREEMAN ESPY, age 95 of Murfreesboro, died Monday, December 21, 2009. She was a native of Rutherford County and the daughter of the late Ernest F. and Musie Haley Fann. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Arch Espy, brothers, Jess Willard Fann and Henry Lee Fann. Private graveside services will be held at Miller Cemetery with Bob Bush officiating. She is survived by her caregivers, Howard (her nephew) and Debbie Fann, and several other nieces and nephews. Mrs. Espy was a member of Southeast Baptist Church since 1971. She made the five point star pattern and crocheted over 100,000 stars for the Bethlehem Marketplace to be given to visitors. She also made over 200 hand pieced quilts and crocheted beautiful afghans.
