MARY LILLIAN COOK EATON age 77 of Murfreesboro, died Monday May 14, 2012 at Middle Tennessee Medical Center. A native of Clarinda, Iowa she was the daughter of the late Oliver and Agnes Tilley Cook. She was preceded in death by her husband William Eaton who died in 1995. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Friday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel, with Steve Odom officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Mrs. Eaton is survived by her daughter Karen Meredith Akkerman and her husband Mike of Murfreesboro, Brother Oliver Buzz Cook and his wife Barbara of McMinnville, and her two grandchildren Jarod Akkerman and Griffen Akkerman both of Murfreesboro. Mrs. Eaton was a member of Central Christian Church and The Charity Circle of Murfreesboro. She received her BA in Radio/Television from Arizona State University.
