Mary Ann Holahan Casity, age 83 of Murfreesboro, TN passed away on October 9, 2016. She was born on July 9, 1933, one of four children to the late Francis and Gertrude Holahan. Born in Minneapolis, Minnesota and raised in Los Angeles and San Diego California, she moved many times throughout the US and abroad while supporting her husband Archie's military career. She mastered running the household and raising their children during Archie's deployments and was very supportive of her children's many interests and endeavors. Mary Ann is a graduate of Mercy College of San Diego. She served her country in the United States Air Force as a registered nurse, and later worked for the Red Cross blood bank. Mary Ann was an avid volunteer involved within the local community, and loved spending time with her many friends in various clubs and organizations. She loved to travel with her husband and friends throughout the world. She was a long-time and faithful member of Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church.
Mary Ann is survived by her husband of 58 years, Archie Casity; four children, Stephen Casity, Katherine Hartman and her husband Rick, Lynn Casity, Brian Casity; four grandchildren, Kristina and her husband Adam, Dane, Ryan and Spencer; brother Tom Holahan; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Gene Holahan, and sister, Sue Bourbeau.
She was taken far too soon, but it is our prayer, and we take comfort in knowing that she is rejoicing in the Lord.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Creutzfeldt - Jakob disease Foundation, PO Box 5312, Akron, OH 44334.
