Mary Ellen Brewer, age 68 of Murfreesboro, TN, passed away Sunday October 27, 2013. Born in Rocky Mount, NC, she was the daughter of the late Fred Jackson Coppedge and Maggie Ellen Moore Coppedge, and was also preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Coppedge. Mrs. Brewer is survived by her husband of 30 years, Dick O. Brewer; sons, Duncan Bare and his wife Cindy of Murfreesboro, TN, Randy Brewer and his friend Tammy, and Danny Brewer and his wife Lisa all of Smyrna, TN; brother, Jimmy Coppedge of Jetersville, VA; sister, Marion Conley of Williamsburg, VA; and eight grandchildren. Funeral service will be 1:00 PM Thursday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Dr. Tony Long officiating. Entombment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens with Joshua Layhew, Mike Johnson, Duncan and Michael Bare, Ben King, and Christopher Young serving as pallbearers. Mrs. Brewer was a member of CrossWay Baptist Church, and was a homemaker. Visitation will be Tuesday and Wednesday from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at WOODFIN MEMORIAL CHAPEL. 893-5151.
